What does it mean to “redefine hustle?” My 4 Keys Tool will help!

Abide, Align, Arise in Your Calling to Build Businesses

John 15:4: Abide in me and I in you as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine.

In January 2019 I launched Hustle with Heart Coaching & Speaking, with the mission to free women entrepreneurs from the struggle of how to bridge faith and business, and equip them to pursue success God’s way, so they can experience the joy of abiding in Him and the fruit that results. My belief is rooted in the truth that when we align ourselves and our businesses to God’s definition of success, He will prosper our business in ways we could have never imagined or achieved on our own (most often not the ways we thought it would prosper).  I prayed over a foundational verse that would sum it all up in a way that people could understand and put into action.

A few months back, I watched Priscilla Shirer’s Going Beyond simulcast, and heard her speak on what was exactly in my head about this – unbeknownst to her, of course (though hey, Priscilla, I’m a huge fan and it would be an honor to collaborate with you!). The verse: John 15:4.  As soon as I heard this, I knew it was right.  This is what I teach and coach: when we are fully aligned to the Lord, spending time with him consistently daily, we begin understanding His purpose for us and the spiritual gifts He’s given us.  In turn, we learn how we put them to practice in our business.  And when we do this, we can bridge faith and business, building a business that honors God and serves His people.

This alignment means we have full access to the vine that nourishes us so we can produce the fruit that He wants us to produce in the world (much fruit by the way). It takes reframing how we define success.  To paraphrase Priscilla (and Webster’s Dictionary), to abide means to align with, to remain with, to be with, to hang out with, to be enmeshed with.  When we do this we are fully equipped, nourished, clearly directed to His purpose for us!  It becomes so clear, and we can feel the flow in our life when we’re doing the work aligned to this purpose.  Our job is to ARISE to be obedient to His instruction.  Arise by spending consistent time daily in the Word, so we get to know His character.  Arise to boldly speak the truth of faith in business so others can witness His work too.

Arise by allowing His light to shine through you as a vessel so that people see the joy, peace, and calm you exhibit in business and wonder what’s different about you.  That leads them to want to do business with you…and learn more about where your joy, peace, and calm come from.  As God centered entrepreneurs, I challenge all of us to abide, align and arise in our calling to build businesses that honor him and serve his people. I’d love to hear your comments on how you’re abiding, aligning and arising in your God-centered business!  How does this vehicle align to your purpose?  How are you abiding in the Lord every day? How are you connecting to the vine every day to get that nourishment, to be able to bear much fruit? I can’t wait to hear about it!
