In the parable of the sower, Jesus gives us a clear picture of two things: first, that the soil in which we sow impacts our outcomes, and second, that the sower remains diligent in sowing. The sower is focused on the obedience of input: plant the seeds and water faithfully. Never being concerned about the output because, let’s face it, its not in the sower’s power to make things grow.
Can we say the same? Are we diligent in doing our part as sowers? Or do we let the condition of the soil stop us?
Looking at this from another perspective, what kind of soil are we ourselves standing in?
Are we the “wayside,” where nothing grows, maybe because we won’t even entertain letting God lead us in business?
Are we the rocky ground, being hard headed in following our way, not God’s or running after the BIG new idea, but not giving it time to root?
Are we the thorny ground, letting the world’s cares, other people’s opinions, and the enemy’s distractions stop the root system?
Or are we the fertile ground that God can use to impact His Kingdom when we’re diligent to walk in our assignment and leave the outcomes to Him? Because when we do, He is true to His word to multiply!
Join me to unpack the Parable of the Sower and how you can apply it to your business!
