I’m not a shoe girl. But, I have proof that my husband IS a shoe guy – check it out on my Instagram (but seriously, how many pairs of athletic shoes do you need?)
My motto is definitely “comfort over fashion,” and I’m a total flip flop girl.
So, you’re wondering, “what the HECK does this have to do with my business, Erin?”
Well, according to Paul in Ephesians 6, having our feet “shod” with the right shoes is an integral part of the armor of God. “…and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.” (Ephesians 6:15). Ready to walk forward and take action (putting feet to faith), and ready to pivot however the Lord calls you.
Now you may be thinking…wait, shoes after belt and breastplate? Huh?
Yes, my friend, Paul says shoes are next, so that’s where we’re going as we suit up to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. Every piece is important to resist the enemy in the time of evil, so that even after the battle you will still be standing firm.
And to stand firm, you’ve got have both protection and grip to move quickly when necessary (because things move fast in your business – one day you’re up, the next you’re down, and the enemy wants you unsteady from all that movement).
Standing firm requires the right shoes: having your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
