Commitment [ kuh-mit-muhnt ]: to give in trust or charge, especially for safekeeping; to bind or obligate, as by pledge or assurance.
When we became entrepreneurs, commitment was the first action we took. Before one thing was written, one call made, one thing created, or one product sold, we first made a commitment to actually do the work.

Some of us were walking with Christ when we started, so our commitment to Him meant saying YES (even if we stalled in doing so).
But for others, we committed to business before we were walking with Christ, and when our self-relliance left us lost, He found us on the way.
(That’s me. I’m “others.” Anyone else with me on that?)

In either case, how are we defined and directed in our commitment for building a business that honors God and serves His people?
According to a 2016 article on @ct_mag, commitment means:
💥 Trusting in God – Psalm 37:3-5 and Proverbs 3:5-6
💥 It means making sacrifices (think surrender!) and letting Him direct us – Proverbs 16:3, 9; Matthew 16:24-25
💥 It involves giving everything we have – 1 Kings 6:61

Commitment is the anchor of all we do in business, if we’re truly pursuing success God’s way. It’s a daily decision to say YES to letting Him lead, to actually doing the work, and to work for Him and not for man (Colossians 3:23).

It’s a daily decision that impacts generations we will never meet: When we keep our commitment to the assignment God’s predestined for us, we keep the commitment to serving those He’s aligned to us, and that impacts their lives and legacies.
If that feels like a lot on your shoulders, remember the 4 Keys help us escape overwhelm and redefine hustle HIS way (grab the guide at my link below).
He didn’t make you to do it alone. And He will establish your thoughts and direct your steps. Trust Him and commit!
