🎵 My double vision always seems to get the best of me 🎵
Got that song stuck in your head now, right? It’s one of my fave Foreigner songs and the album by the same name! But I digress…
We’re concluding financial literacy month with the instability of being double minded. As if it weren’t enough for God to tell us not to look left or right, and to stay focused on His word, Jesus reminds us of the perils of being double minded about money in Matthew 6:24. Then James follows this up in his book (1:8), so clearly Godly wisdom tells us our double vision can get the best of us!
As you heard from the last two episodes in which I shared our personal financial crisis, living double minded got the best of me in the past, and despite all God has delivered us through, it’s still something I struggle with.
What I know is this: God, my family and business can’t get the best of me when I’m focused on the outcomes, or overly concerned about what will sell and what won’t. What helps me is shedding light on the subject, talking about it openly, and asking God to remind me of His provision and purpose for my business.
