A rose by any other name

Where are the Shakespeare fans? Show your love in the comments or DM me your fave Shakespeare quote.

I’m not a big Shakespeare fan…but I am a big fan of @rottenbroadway which is a hilarious look at Shakespeare!

So what’s this have to do with our topic of money this month? 🤷‍♀️🤣

🌹That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Just as Juliet is saying Romeo’s family name has zero to do with their love, I submit that any name for money as an exchange for value shouldn’t matter…it’s just a tool. Yet, it’s funny how we let words like money, wealth, riches, etc. get us all jacked up and distract us from what we’ve been given to do in our business: serve.

Stick with me on this (and hey, give Monday’s podcast a listen at my link in bio).

For centuries people have bartered, bought and sold, marketed, and exchanged something for the value of a service.

Yet here we are (women entrepreneurs especially) letting money distract us from doing business, setting our pricing, charging for our services, etc. I believe this is a particular issue for women of faith in business.

👏Listen👏 Money is just a tool to allow us to exchange for something of value – product, service, knowledge, whatever. On this last day of #financialliteracymonth, let’s all agree that no matter what it’s called, it doesn’t have power over us. A rose by any other name… and all that, right? 🌹 🌹 🌹 🌹
