This month we’ve been focused on the practical implementation of redefining hustle, and this week I welcomed CPA/CFO and my friend, Erica Goode, to share her wisdom on three financial must-haves for your business at every stage. While I’ve got some highlights below, I know you’ll gain so much for this conversation, so definitely listen to the whole episode!
Erica’s three must-haves:
1. A firm foundation: the right business structure (e.g, LLC), separate business bank account, business insurance, solid bookkeeping process (yes, Excel is ok if that’s what works for you).
2. Consistency: In paying yourself, even if it starts with $20! In paying the IRS. In tithing/charitable contributions.
3. Financial vision: Planning the vision for your business financially, whether that’s the next 90 days, the next year or the next 5 years. Focus on YOUR vision and God’s direction for YOU (no comparison game here!). For more on setting a 90-Day Plan, listen to episode 183
