Sometimes we’re holding so tight to our control that we can’t see that God is waiting for us to release it to show us what’s next. Are you currently in a season of banging your head against the wall trying to figure out what’s holding your back, what’s keeping you stuck, or why things aren’t moving according to your pace or plan? I feel you, friend. Been there, done that, have the t-shirt (and the scars).
I have a question for you:
Have you considered what you’re gripping that you need to release?
Could it be something like:
Your way?
Doubt and fear?
Your dreams and plans for His? Your good for His best?
Definitions of success like titles, income, stages, recognition?
Worry over how it will all happen?
Feeling unequipped and unqualified?
Replacing inconsistency with discipline?
Am I hitting some buttons for you today? I get it. It’s a powerful – and hard – question to ask yourself.
In this episode, I’m sharing an excerpt from Lisa Whittle’s new book, God Knows in which she drops many pieces of wisdom, with this one as my fave:
The more we resist what we need to release, the more we refuse our own pain relief.
Whew, that hits home. Tune into this week’s episode – it will leave you asking that tough question above: what do you need to release?
